Anna has been writing and performing original songs since age 11, has been playing piano since age 6, picked up the guitar at age 10, and added violin at 14. In addition to solo performing and writing she has enjoyed participating in show choir and high school orchestra, studying music theory/composition, teaching violin lessons, and performing in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra. College has now taken center stage but music remains a big passion in Anna’s life.

Anna released “At Night”, her first EP of original music, in 2016. In 2017 Anna released her new song “Temporary Home” on an EP with a few songs from “At Night”. Anna was accompanied by violinist Phillip Hammond on “Temporary Home” and she featured Phillip again on her first full-length CD “To You”. Anna has performed at multiple venues in and around Bloomington. Anna’s music can be heard on WFHB community radio where she performed her original songs on Local Live broadcasts in 2016, 2017 (accompanied by Phillip), & 2018. In 2019 Anna recorded her original “Sweet Song” for the BloomingSongs Building Blocks compilation album for early childhood education, again with Phillip on violin. Anna’s released her second full-length CD of original songs, Anywhere, in 2020.

Anna was honored to win the 2016 youth division Ferdinand Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter competition and the 2016 Kiwanis Idol teen competition. In 2017 Anna won the Jasper Strassenfest Guitar Pull. In 2017 and 2018 Anna was again invited to perform at the Ferdinand Folk Festival. In January and February 2018 Anna was recognized as “One to Watch” by Nashville Songwriters Association International. She is a grateful recipient of the Tom Moeller Memorial Scholarship for music students and her high school’s National School Orchestra Award.

Anna is passionate about the way music is able to connect everyone and bring people together. With her songs she hopes to tell stories of her personal experiences in a relatable way that is meaningful to others. She sincerely thanks you for listening.
